Giacobbe LaMotta was born July 10, 1921 in New York City. He was better known as Jake LaMotta.  Nicknamed “The Bronx Bull” and “The Raging Bull,” LaMotta won the world title in 1949 in Detroit. He was ranked 52nd on Ring Magazine's list of the 80 Best fighters of the last 80 years. They also ranked him as one of the 10 greatest middleweight of all-time.
